Battlefield Trail

This iconic place is filled with many memories of hardship and sufferings the people had endured throughout the World War 2 invasion. Alongside, the Japanese who showed no mercy to the people, for the pleasure they seek, from torturing people and killing them. Fort Canning is the place where the British had their meetings. They had had many sally ports. This should leave the British a great battle plan. But the Japanese outwit them, in the end, the British surrendered to the Japanese and this is the start of hardship and sufferings. War memorials are not enough to respect the dead. On the day the Japanese surrendered, the people in Singapore had to decide their destinies. It the start of independence, the start of a new beginning.
